The 19th annual Wakulla County Valentine’s Day Celebration is just around the corner! It doesn’t matter if you’re in a relationship or single and ready-to-mingle, grab your friends and family on February 11th and head to downtown Crawfordville to honor the day with the Wakulla County community.
Support local charities, and get some exercise in the great outdoors
The day starts bright and early with two great opportunities to get your body moving and help raise money for worthy causes. Whether you choose to participate in the “Cupid Dash” 5K or the one-mile “Fit For Love” walk, you will have a chance to exercise with others in the community and give back. The Crawfordville Lions Club will be helping to raise money for area charities, and you can help by lacing up your shoes and hitting the pavement.
Family fun abounds during this celebration of love
After the morning activities, there’s still plenty in store as the day moves on. Starting at 10:00 AM, the Crawfordville Lions Club is sponsoring the annual Valentine’s Day Celebration parade. You’ll want to find a good place to watch and enjoy the sights and sounds of the community coming together.
Following the parade, be sure to check out the arts and crafts vendors from throughout the area. You’ll certainly be able to find the perfect Valentine’s Day-themed gift for a loved one in your life. There will also be food vendors set up throughout the day so that you can enjoy everything the festival has to offer.
Enjoy live entertainment all afternoon
Beginning at 11:00 AM, musicians will take the stage and provide the soundtrack for a day to celebrate love. You and your family can dance the afternoon away, or simply enjoy the beautiful scenery of Wakulla County while the bands perform. Later in the afternoon, there will be a cash prize drawing, so you might leave with a little extra money in your pocket to take your special someone out!
