The Wakulla County Board of County Commissioners is excited to announce it will be hosting a Veteran’s Parade and Ceremony on November 7 in conjunction with the Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 4538.
Come out and salute our Veteran’s starting at 10:00 a.m. with our annual Veteran’s parade, where participants will march down Crawfordville Highway. Troops, military organizations, school bands, County Government, and more will be featured. Of course, Veterans are highly encouraged to participate by either walking in the parade or riding on the VWF float.
Staying strong with this year’s theme of “Honor and Service”, the parade will be followed by the Veteran’s Ceremony at 11:30 a.m. at the pavilion in Hudson Park. The Posting of the Colors will be completed by the Wakulla High School NJROTC Cadets. You especially don’t want to miss this year’s Keynote Speaker: LTC Keith Pruett!
We hope you’ll come out and support our Veterans with us on Saturday, November 7. It’s sure to be a beautiful day of community and patriotism.
